Problem-Based Learning Expo at Chaman Bhartiya School.

Problem-based learning (PBL) is a pedagogical approach to achieve the academic objectives outlined in the We Lead Curriculum. The students are the drivers of their own learning journey. Through PBL, learners engage and approach real world issues to acquire deeper learning. Students develop critical thinking and critical thinking skills as well as to collaborate and communicate their findings with a larger audience. Facilitators serve as mentors (guide the students) and collaborate with learners, to inspire them to gain an in-depth understanding of the subject.

Students chose diverse projects; did in-depth research on the projects they were interested in and came up with very interesting solutions for real life problems. From creating a hovercraft to clean out dirt in Bangalore lakes to designing a restaurant for kids- children showcased their unique and distinct projects on PBL Expo. This was a grand event which was held on 8th & 9th April 2022, wherein children showcased their projects to the local community.

On 8th April, experts from various industries were brought in, so children could receive impartial feedback on their projects. These experts included Vishwanath from Biome Trust, Reuben Kataria, General Manager, Leela Hotel, Rishikesh, Associate Professor, School of Education, Azim Premji University. These experts evaluated each one of the projects and shared their honest feedback with each one of our learners. On 9th April, local community was invited to come & witness the project.
