Our new principal, Shalini Singh Hamilton will join us soon. She was expected to have joined us already. However, her joining has been postponed due to a family emergency. We are excited to welcome her from the beginning of the next academic year. Shalini is an experienced school leader and comes to us from her previous position as the principal of The Gaudium School in Hyderabad.

EY SOLAR SYSTEM EXHIBITION

We recently organised a Solar System Exhibition for our EY learners, where they had the opportunity to construct innovative models and craftworks depicting the solar system. Through this parent child activity, they created models and informative charts with vibrant colours, decorations and recycled papers. Through this engaging activity, they gained a deeper understanding of the workings of the solar system, planets and space. Our learners exhibited outstanding presentation skills and logical reasoning abilities during this event. This exhibition provided them with a platform to express their creativity while also helping them improve their communication skills and confidence.

From The Desk of The Director

We are nearing the end of CBS’s first, offline and eventful academic year. From 27th March 2023 onwards, we are introducing changes in our leadership structure, as part of our strategic initiatives. The CBS team will have a new experienced Principal as the leader of everyday activities at school, and I will continue as the director. We will lead as a close-knit team. The principal’s main task is to ensure the quality of the academic deliveries according to the board standards (ICSE and MYP) and extend the partnership with our parent community

The Connect

The current year’s theme for Project-Based Learning (PBL) is water. We started of the new year by having a seminar on water where facilitators gave talks from various streams like science & technology, languages, history, landscapes of water, music, theatre, dance, art of water, use of water in religion and war, etc. We additionally invited guest speakers to talk on the topic of water conservation and hydroponics. Learners gained an insight and were inspired as well as empowered to choose a topic to begin their PBL project on.

From the next academic year, Chaman Bhartiya School will teach three curricula: from Early Years to grade 5, we will continue following our own ‘We Lead’ curriculum, which will prepare the learners for both the ICSE and the MYP curriculum, as well as developing leadership qualities and 21st-century competencies. From grade 6, the parents and learners will choose either the Indian ICSE curriculum or the International MYP curriculum.
