Chaman Bhartiya is a first-of-its-kind K 12 school in Bengaluru
At Chaman Bhartiya, it is our belief, and purpose, that all children can be leaders given the right environment, tools, and support. This is why everything we do here is aimed at helping the child discover their leadership potential through learning, play, and practical implementation.
Our classrooms are active flexible learning spaces which personalise learning
Here’s a glimpse into how we operate, and some of our learning spaces that take education beyond what it has been.
At Chaman Bhartiya, the building supports the use of a great variety of teaching methods that ensure that the learner will learn, with open learning spaces, an innovation center, maker spaces, urban garden, etc.
The studio is fitted with equipment for audio and video recording including state-of-the-art equipment such as the Yeti Blue USB microphone which helps create impeccable, studio-quality recordings. Professional lighting provides the right environment to create diverse studio recordings. Soundproofing acoustic foam is built in the sidewalls to reduce echoes and background noise.
The Multipurpose Hall has as much potential in it. This fully air-conditioned hall can become a space for ballet classes and ballet performances, a place for performers and a place for spectators, it can turn into a cooking studio and then into a space where children can put up a science exhibition.
Indoor games and sporting events one day, conferences and conventions the next, school assemblies every other week, cultural programmes the next, this truly
flexible arena will play a key feature in the schooling of every child. This facility is 6500 sq.ft. in size and can comfortably accommodate 500 students.
The Tree House
There is something magical about a tree house. Perched high above the ground, it lets you stand and look at the world from a different vantage point.
The tree house at the entrance of the school is centered around a replanted tree brought here all the way from Pondicherry. It’s fifty years old and sprouting fresh leaves as we speak. This magical experience of being in a little hideaway where you can sit, lie down, read, relax and contemplate is something we wanted students, teachers and everyone in the school to experience and enjoy.

Security And Safety
High emphasis is placed on security. Round-the-clock security of the campus is ensured through several strategically located CCTV cameras monitored continuously by our security personnel.
The transport facility will include buses that are equipped with a Vehicle Tracking System and on-board cameras. This allows us to monitor the speed and location of the route. This effectively ensures the safety and security of the students.
A bus parent will be in charge of the safety and security of the bus. A female caregiver is also always present on the bus to pick and drop children from their designated bus stops.
Children thrive on free play and Chaman Bhartiya believes in giving them as many opportunities as possible, and then some, to explore the great outdoors. We have an outdoor playground for team sports and collaborate with XLR8 for more sports facilities.
The Garden Of Fruits
The memories created during childhood are memories that we cherish for a lifetime. A quaint grove for fruit-bearing trees with fruits hanging down from them throughout the year, we felt, was an essential ingredient to every childhood.
Children will sit here under these trees, run around them and maybe even pluck some. What kind of lessons will they learn as they try to climb the trees and fail? Or climb one up and with much effort and get their hands on a ripe mango?
The library is the heart of every school. Each book in the library is a conversation a child has with the greatest minds. A library of the greatest minds is the one place in every school that should be the most inviting place for any child.
How is it then that libraries are dull-looking spaces? The reason is that libraries were built by adults, for adults.
Not the one at Chaman Bhartiya. There will be storytelling and enacting, play-reading and hours allotted to poetry. This is one place a child will want to run to, and never want to leave.
Children will be given ample opportunities to explore and learn art. The school is equipped with a separate arts and craft zone as well as a dance and music zone. We view aesthetics as an avenue to develop creativity as well as promote holistic development amongst students.
